Atlanta:
Alon’s Bakery and Market has the most delicious macarons. They have two locations – one in Virginia Highlands {1394 N. Highland Avenue} and one in Dunwoody {4505 Ashford Dunwoody Rd NE}. This is the perfect place to stop and get macarons especially for a party or little gift, as you can get them in a nice little box. You can take the opportunity to grab whatever else you need from their market too while you’re there!
XK Macarons are sold at Mae’s Bakery. Xanna Kidd is the baker behind these delicious goodies and you can email her at wanna@elegantmornings.com for custom orders. Follow on insta for flavors that are being delivered to Mae’s Bakery. Mae’s Bakery is located at 2770 Lenox Rd, Suite B-4 and they also serve delicious coffee and have free wifi. ;) I’ve definitely made a special trip to enjoy macarons while getting some work done!
Macaron Queen is sold at a kiosk in front of Macy’s in Lennox Square Mall {3393 Peachtree Rd. NE}, as well as several different locations around town which you can see here. Some of the flavors can get wild so purchase one before you get a ton so you can make sure it’s your style! They even had a pumpkin macaron last fall {seen here on my instagram}. It was delicious. Who even knew pumpkin macarons were a thing!? Love it. I usually get a macaron when I’m at Corso Coffee at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta {2770 Lenox Rd, Suite B-4}, which is another location Macaron Queen is sold. Corso Coffee is also the best place to take a great instagram shot too if you ask me! ;) I can’t resist sharing a shot from there literally every time I go.
Macon:
Macon Baking Company sells delicious macarons. They almost always stick to the following availability: pistachio, raspberry, lemon, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla. They come in the most darling little pink boxes and at a pretty affordable rate for macarons. Make sure to note their hours however because they are only open Wednesday – Saturday. See their instagram for most up to date info. {4524 Forsyth Road, Suite 204 Wednesday-Friday 11am-5pm, Saturday 10am-4pm}
Sweet Cissy’s does not have a storefront, but you can place a custom order directly with Cissy at Cissy.bates@gmail.com.
A macaron baked by Treehouse Macarons <via my instagram>
St. Simons
Treehouse Macarons are truly a treat!! Their tagline: “french tradition, southern charm” could not be more accurate. Think, southern flavor favorites like banana pudding, peach cobbler, and pimento cheese! Whattttt. They seem to always be trying something new, like their new ice cream collection! Yes – ice cream macarons. {Mind: blown.} Do not follow their instagram if you don’t want to be drooling over macarons in gorgeous photos on a daily basis! ;) They currently offer more than 36 flavors year-round, with the addition of seasonal collections including 12 Macarons of Christmas, The Cocktail Collection, The Savory Collection, and more. You can purchase these goodies at Wake Up Coffee in Redfern Village {256 Redfern Village} and also in the nearby Brunswick locations of Wake Up Coffee. You may want to call Wake Up Coffee or stalk their instagram feed to see which flavors they currently have, but I think it’s usually more of their classics like raspberry, key lime pie, and espresso. If you want different flavors, make a custom order by emailing them, or just purchase straight from their website here.
the market at Sea Island <via my instagram>
Sea Island
The Market at Sea Island sells macarons baked by The Cloister pastry chef. They might not always have them available, but if they are out, grab one of the oversized cookies. Shh. I didn’t say that. They actually have a pretty good selection of juices, and a nice salad bar and yummy soups and salad too. You can get lunch and sit on the patio that I always take pics of because the black and white striped umbrellas are just asking for an instagram feature! ;) See below. {351 Sea Island Rd, Saint Simons Island, GA 31522} And yes, technically this is on St. Simons but it is considered a Sea Island property. (You may also be able to get the macarons directly at The Cloister or Beach Club.)
Savannah
The Paris Market serves some amazing macarons in their coffee shop. The time I went, they even had a sprinkle-dipped macaron!! It was pretty much made for instagram. {36 West Broughton Street}

And there you have it. These are the places I’ve been able to find my favorite treat around my own stomping grounds.
Other:
Here’s a quick look at my other favorite brands when I travel:
Laduree – I’ve visited both locations in New York, one in London, a few in Paris, and one in Versailles, but there are tons of other locations in Europe. New York is the only US location. I previously shared a blog post about Laduree here
Francois Payard – I’ve visited the locations in Las Vegas and New York. (They also have a location in Japan.) I love saving the orange box they come in for bookshelf pops of color! :)
Macaron Cafe – They are located in New York, but you can order online. I previously wrote about them here.
